Your 30ml natural perfume in an atomiser, more than 30 oils and rare absolutes to work with, a take-home blending guide and scent journal, and Prosecco on arrival.
Locations & access
We have two workshop spaces. 31 Connaught Street, London W2 (Marble Arch tube) — our flagship, also a shop open six days a week. 53 Fashion Street, Whitechapel, London E1 (Whitechapel or Aldgate East tube) — workshops only. Each date in the picker shows its location. Full directions go out with the booking confirmation.
Who teaches the workshop
Every workshop is designed by Emily. Most are taught by the Yougi team, all of whom trained at the studio. Emily still teaches a handful of sessions each month; when she's hosting a specific date, we'll flag it in the booking.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Workshop bookings are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, we will do our best to move you to another date: email info@yougilondon.com at least seven days before your slot. If you are ill or something comes up at the last minute, email us anyway and we will talk through your options.
The class
The one to book when you have a whole afternoon. Over two and a half hours you work through the 31 essential oils and absolutes, from bergamot to sandalwood, learning how a perfume is built and how each note behaves. You blend a 30ml perfume that is entirely yours into a refillable atomiser, and take home a guide and a journal to carry it on. A glass of prosecco on arrival. A Yougi host teaches you throughout. Ages 16 and up.
What you'll do
Two and a half hours, in four movements.
i
Settle in.
Prosecco on arrival and a seat at the bench, with a Yougi scent specialist beside you for the session.
ii
Learn the craft.
Top, middle and base notes, then a walk through more than 30 oils and rare absolutes: sandalwood to bergamot.
iii
Compose your perfume.
Professional blending, drop by drop, until the formula is yours. It finishes in a 30ml atomiser.
iv
Take it further.
Your perfume goes home with a blending guide and a scent journal, so the craft carries on at your own table.

Having previously attended an essential oils candle making course with Yougi, I was interested in learning about blending natural oils for perfumes too. The teacher was so informative, engaging, and was more than happy to assist with suggestions to ensure we kept to our initial 'scent story' ideas. A fabulous venue, light and airy, and the choice of oils and all the products we used were of great quality. I can't wait to try my perfume in a week's time! I would highly recommend this Natural Perfume Making Masterclass.

This was a gift experience for my birthday. Small group of people, nice space and interesting experience. I would have liked more essential oils to choose from. The lady that lead the workshop very polite and knowledgeable. I would suggest it might be an even better experience if you go with a friend!

We had a great time at this Natural Perfume Making Masterclass! It was fun to mix the perfume oils ourselves rather than have someone else do it for me! Would recommend!

Absolutely loved this course. Fantastic opportunity to understand and smell all the different essential oils and see what you like.
I am so happy with the perfume oil I created. The tutor was exceptional.

I booked the experience for my Sisters 40th. It was a lot of fun. We learnt a little bit of history about perfume, did some scent tests & then created our own frgrance. The class was small (4 people) so we all had a good amount of one to one time with the tutor who helped to guide us with our own fragrance.

This was such a special class. Sonia was so patient and informative. We took a long time discussing our preferred scents and when I wasn’t 100% happy she took time to help me which meant our class ran over a little. As a belated birthday present for my mum who I don’t see often due to living overseas it really meant a lot. Worth every penny!

Had the best time with my friend on our private session with Emily! We weren't sure what to expect but we soon found out how interesting this was. Emily is great, supportive and kind and very patient! Definitely recommend it!!

Really enjoyed the pace of the class, did not feel rushed at all.
The wide range of oils available and the explanation and support was fantastic.
