Mandarin is the gentlest of the citrus oils, sweet and round without the sharpness of lemon. Cold-pressed from the peel, it brings a soft brightness to a blend.

The mandarin takes its name from the robes of the Chinese officials it was once given to, and it remains the gentlest of the citrus fruits. Cold-pressed from the peel, it is sweet and round, softer than orange. Ours is pressed in Sicily.
