The blend

Perfume made at your own table. Five essential oils to blend from: cedarwood, sandalwood, vanilla, neroli and sweet orange, 5ml of each, with 30ml of sweet almond oil for the base. Five pipettes, three measuring cups and six test strips for the blending, and three 15ml roller ball bottles to carry what you make, each with a jute drawstring bag. Stickers and labels to name them. A video card walks you through top, heart and base notes.

Woody and sweet in register. Everything is in the box: nothing else needed at home. All materials 100% natural, cruelty-free and sourced in the UK.

The making

How to blend at home.

Five oils, a base, and three bottles to fill. The video card walks you through it.

  1. Start with the base.

    Base notes first, then heart, then top. The blend is built from the ground up.

  2. Test as you go.

    Dip a strip, wait a moment, smell again. Your nose knows more than you think.

  3. Count your drops.

    Write the recipe down as you go. When you land on the one you love, you will want to make it again.

  4. Let it rest.

    Give the finished blend a day or two in its bottle before you judge it. The oils settle into each other.
