Your 170ml aromatherapy candle, around 35 hours of burn, in your choice of signature blend. All materials: eco soy wax, cotton wick, frosted white glass. Refreshments on arrival, and a Yougi tutor with you for the whole session.
We have two workshop spaces. 31 Connaught Street, London W2 (Marble Arch tube) — our flagship, also a shop open six days a week. 53 Fashion Street, Whitechapel, London E1 (Whitechapel or Aldgate East tube) — workshops only. Each date in the picker shows its location. Full directions go out with the booking confirmation.
Every workshop is designed by Emily. Most are taught by the Yougi team, all of whom trained at the studio. Emily still teaches a handful of sessions each month; when she's hosting a specific date, we'll flag it in the booking.
Workshop bookings are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, we will do our best to move you to another date: email info@yougilondon.com at least seven days before your slot. If you are ill or something comes up at the last minute, email us anyway and we will talk through your options.
The class
Tea on arrival, an apron, a seat at the table. Introductions are short: the hour belongs to the making.
Smell the signature blends and pick the one your candle is for: sleep, stress relief, mood or energy.
Melt the eco soy wax, measure in the essential oils and pour your 170g candle. The cotton wick is set by hand.
Your candle sets before the class ends and goes home with you. Around 35 hours of burning.

As per our T&Cs, workshop bookings are strictly non-refundable. However, if you are unable to attend, we will do our best to accommodate changes to your booking with at least 7 days notice, by email at info@yougilondon.com before your booked slot.
Though we ask you to arrive on time, we are happy to accommodate latecomers up to 10 minutes past the class start time.
Our Connaught Street studio holds up to 12 guests. Our Fashion Street studio holds up to 20.
Most workshops run between one hour and two and a half hours. The exact length is on each workshop page.
Our workshop space only has the capacity to hold booked guests.
Our workshops are not designed for children, but we are happy to welcome children aged 12 and over who are accompanied by an adult also booked into the class.
Yes. Everyone takes their candle home on the day, though it will need to set for around 25 minutes while we talk about aromatherapy.

Peter was a delight. Warm personality and delivered the class with charm. Instructions were clear although adorably fractured, and our candles came out amazingly. The essentials oils were therapeutic to the senses for sure, would recommend.
Peter was super friendly, insightful and patient! I found the class really well timed and intimate and loved the story telling behind each scent. Great session and value for money, I would recommend to other people! Also very cute puppy was a bonus!

We thoroughly enjoyed our class with Eilidh and had a great time chatting with her and the other people on the course! Eilidh really knows her subject and the candles were fun and easy to make. The hardest part was choosing the scent. The Connaught St shop is in a lovely part of London which was a bonus

I booked this as I was craving arts and craft class. This was so nourishing, the teacher was so lovely and explained everything really well and most of all it was so easy. I loved the tea that was served!! I love the brand and will definitely get some candles in the future!!!

The candle class was informative with attention to detail to what makes a good candle. It was a bliss hour smelling aromatherapy oils and choosing your oil to add to your candle. I went for a candle making class. The teacher was very friendly and explained the process of making a candle very easy. The only con was the venue which I found very small.
