What's included
Two 15ml oil-based perfumes, designed by you. All oils and bottles, refreshments on arrival, and a Yougi tutor with you for the whole session.

We have two workshop spaces. 31 Connaught Street, London W2 (Marble Arch tube) — our flagship, also a shop open six days a week. 53 Fashion Street, Whitechapel, London E1 (Whitechapel or Aldgate East tube) — workshops only. Who teaches the workshop
Every workshop is designed by Emily. Most are taught by the Yougi team, all of whom trained at the studio. Emily still teaches a handful of sessions each month; when she's hosting a specific date, we'll flag it in the booking.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Workshop bookings are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, we will do our best to move you to another date: email info@yougilondon.com at least seven days before your slot. If you are ill or something comes up at the last minute, email us anyway and we will talk through your options.
The class
Come and spend an hour and a half at the studio table, the oil library of 31 essential oils and absolutes open in front of you. You learn how a perfume is built, top, heart and base, then work through the oils to find the two blends that are yours. Drop by drop, you make two 15ml perfumes and bottle them to take home. A Yougi host teaches you throughout, and no experience is needed.
What you'll do

A seat at the table and a short lesson in how smell works: the strongest sense we have.
The fragrance families, then top, heart and base: how a perfume is layered.
Work through more than 30 essential oils and build an oil-based perfume that is yours alone.
You pour two 15ml perfumes before the end: two scents, designed by you, for you.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change the date of my workshop?
Please request any date changes at least 7 days ahead of your booked workshop. If you are ill or cannot attend at the last minute, email info@yougilondon.com and we will let you know your options.
Can I get a refund on my workshop ticket?
As per our T&Cs, workshop bookings are strictly non-refundable. However, if you are unable to attend, we will do our best to accommodate changes to your booking with at least 7 days notice, by email at info@yougilondon.com before your booked slot.
What if I turn up late to a class?
Though we ask you to arrive on time, we are happy to accommodate latecomers up to 10 minutes past the class start time.
How many people will be attending my workshop?
Our Connaught Street studio holds up to 12 guests. Our Fashion Street studio holds up to 20.
How long will the workshop last?
Most workshops run between one hour and two and a half hours. The exact length is on each workshop page.
Can I bring a plus one if they haven't booked?
Our workshop space only has the capacity to hold booked guests.
Are the classes suitable for young children?
Our workshops are not designed for children, but we are happy to welcome children aged 12 and over who are accompanied by an adult also booked into the class.
Can I take my perfume home with me on the day?
Yes. Your perfume is bottled in the class and ready to take home the moment it ends.
I want to host a private session with my friends, family or team. How do I do this?
We would love to meet you all. Email us at info@yougilondon.com and we will arrange a private class with you.
My friend who I booked with is ill and I don't want to join without them. What do I do?
Sorry to hear your friend is ill. We still advise you to come if you are well, but please email info@yougilondon.com with as much notice as possible and we will talk through your options.

This was for my sister's 30th Birthday. She went with four friends and said it was the best thing she had done in London! The class was friendly and super informative and the oils and extracts used to make their perfumes were extremely high quality making it fantastic value for money. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to do something fun for a Hen party, Birthday or even a solo experience.

I visited for my 40th birthday with a friend. I am a huge fan of perfume and had been very much looking forward to experiencing making my own scent. This class did not disappoint! Our teacher was so lovely & very friendly. She had ALL of the knowledge & answers about different oils & ideas. I would highly recommend this class and I will definitely return. Thank you ️
I took my mum for Mother’s Day & we both had the best time ever! The facilitators were great & really attentive throughout the session. Needless to say, my mum smashed it as she is of course a perfume connoisseur ha! Highly recommend, thanks again x

The class was everything we hoped for ande more! Our teacher was lovely and very helpful when needed. The class went by so fast. By the end everyone had two perfumes.
Eilidh was an amazing host, great sense of humour and down to earth, she made us all feel very comfortable and the class flew by! She was very informative and was helping everyone throughout the class, we all had a lovely day for a Mother’s Day treat!

This was a very enjoyable class. The teachers were personable, patient, and very knowledgeable; they really helped me to refine the fragrances that I was trying to create. They also created a fun atmosphere and served us tea. We were a tad tight for time towards the end of the workshop, but that was probably a result of us waiting for some latecomers, and some of us getting a bit too carried away with the fragrence-making!
A really lovely way to spend Sunday afternoon. Peter (I think that was his name) was a really great host - he was super friendly and offered great help whenever we needed. Would definitely recommend.

Had such a wonderful time perfume making using essential oils. Large variety of scents. both the guys working there were so friendly, patient and helpful! There was herbal tea to drink and to help us relax, unwind, enjoy ourselves. I would definitely do this again. Great activity for friends, partner or even by yourself. I'll definitely be back again.
My wife and I really enjoyed the fragrance making class. Ailee (sorry if it’s spelt incorrectly) was a great host, very friendly and knowledgeable which really added to the experience. Would deffo recommend for a date night type activity for sure.

The class was absolutely fantastic! Finn, our teacher, was brilliant — incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about natural oils. I bought this workshop experience for my sisters birthday, the workshop was really fun, our teacher was really nice and helpful and taught us how essential oils were made and helped with recreating perfumes and what scents would match well. I really loved this experience and would love 100% do it again and the perfume I ended up making I love so much and have found new scents that I hadn’t smelt before like petitgrain and vetiver and I really want to make some more perfumes now!

Der Kurs ist ganz nett, wenn man zum ersten mal mit ätherischen Ölen arbeitet. Im Grunde gibt es nicht viele Informationen. Man hat eine Palette an ätherischen Ölen vor sich, die man wie man möchte zusammen mischt. Wer Erklärungen oder Informationen zum Herstellen oder Mischen von Parfum sucht ist hier falsch. Der Kurs ist wirklich sehr simple gehalten aber trotzdem ganz nett. Es werden pro Person zwei Parfums hergestellt welche man mitbekommt. Unsere Resultate sind ganz gut gelungen, aber ich habe ein gutes Hintergrundwissen über ätherische Öle. Ein bisschen mehr Zeit wäre ganz gut gewesen.

We did the perfume-making class as a birthday activity with the girls and had such a great time. Peter was absolutely fab, so patient with our 101 questions! The room setting was really cute, and the packaging was a lovely touch too
The class was lovely and I had a great time. It was very relaxing and calm, maybe because it was a very small class. Our instructor was so nice. Didn’t get his name but we turned up a bit late(trains and getting lost) he let us in and help us get settled with tea. He was very helpful, and had an amazing nose. He knew exactly what our fragrances needed to be just right. I enjoyed it and made scents I love and will definitely wear.
I went along to this workshop to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. She’s a huge perfume person, so it felt like a fitting way to mark the day. Throughout the session we learned about the building blocks of fragrance: essential oils, accords, and how top, middle and base notes work together to build a finished scent. It was hands-on the whole way through, which made all the technical stuff click much more easily. Peter, our teacher, was what really made it special. He had brilliant energy and a knack for explaining things clearly, even the trickier bits. You could tell he really knew his stuff, but he never made anyone feel out of their depth. The atmosphere was easygoing and warm. There was enough structure to keep things moving and help us actually learn, but it never felt rushed or overly formal.
Probably the highlight of our trip. My 3 children and I had a private lesson with our Scottish guide who was brilliant. Two hours flew by.. we could have stayed all day in that beautiful space in lovely company learning a new craft. A delight!

Attended a perfume making workshop for a hen do and Kai was a sensational host. You could tell he really knew his stuff as he gave great recommendations when mixing oils. He was very attentive and had a very welcoming aura. The atmosphere was very tranquil and was filled with lots of positive energy! Was an amazing experience. Highly recommend.

Peter led the class really well and explained the process of making perfume with essential oils in a clear way that was easy to understand. He was also knowledgeable about the different scents and was helpful with any questions that were asked. There were only three participants which made for a nice, chill vibe. I booked this class as I was sent a gift voucher from my friend and it was easy to use online.
