What's included
Your 100ml reed diffuser, scented with a blend built by you from more than 30 essential oils, with premium reeds. All materials, refreshments on arrival, and a Yougi tutor with you for the session.
Locations & access
We have two workshop spaces. 31 Connaught Street, London W2 (Marble Arch tube) — our flagship, also a shop open six days a week. 53 Fashion Street, Whitechapel, London E1 (Whitechapel or Aldgate East tube) — workshops only. Who teaches the workshop
Every workshop is designed by Emily. Most are taught by the Yougi team, all of whom trained at the studio. Emily still teaches a handful of sessions each month; when she's hosting a specific date, we'll flag it in the booking.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Workshop bookings are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, we will do our best to move you to another date: email info@yougilondon.com at least seven days before your slot. If you are ill or something comes up at the last minute, email us anyway and we will talk through your options.
The class
It starts with a scent story. A place you've been, or a memory you'd like your home to hold. From there you go into the oil library, 31 essential oils and absolutes, and choose the ones that tell it. Your host helps you balance the blend. You measure it into a 100ml bottle, set the reeds, and that one is yours. 90 minutes at the studio table, and the diffuser comes home with you. You don't need any experience, only your nose.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change the date of my workshop?
Please request any date changes at least 7 days ahead of your booked workshop. If you are ill or cannot attend at the last minute, email info@yougilondon.com and we will let you know your options.
Can I get a refund on my workshop ticket?
As per our T&Cs, workshop bookings are strictly non-refundable. However, if you are unable to attend, we will do our best to accommodate changes to your booking with at least 7 days notice, by email at info@yougilondon.com before your booked slot.
What if I turn up late to a class?
Though we ask you to arrive on time, we are happy to accommodate latecomers up to 10 minutes past the class start time.
How many people will be attending my workshop?
Our Connaught Street studio holds up to 12 guests. Our Fashion Street studio holds up to 20.
How long will the workshop last?
Most workshops run between one hour and two and a half hours. The exact length is on each workshop page.
Can I bring a plus one if they haven't booked?
Our workshop space only has the capacity to hold booked guests.
Are the classes suitable for young children?
Our workshops are not designed for children, but we are happy to welcome children aged 12 and over who are accompanied by an adult also booked into the class.
Can I take my diffuser home with me on the day?
Yes. Everyone takes their diffuser home with them on the day.
I want to host a private session with my friends, family or team. How do I do this?
We would love to meet you all. Email us at info@yougilondon.com and we will arrange a private class with you.
My friend who I booked with is ill and I don't want to join without them. What do I do?
Sorry to hear your friend is ill. We still advise you to come if you are well, but please email info@yougilondon.com with as much notice as possible and we will talk through your options.

Had such a lovely time at the reed diffuser making workshop with two of my friends! Peter, our facilitator, was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience felt relaxed and welcoming. The vibes and ambience were just right—calm, cozy, and really enjoyable. Plus, the peppermint and liquorice tea was such a nice touch. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a creative and soothing activity!

Loved the reed diffuser class at Yougi! Learned a lot about essential oils and was pleasantly surprised at how I managed to make a scent that I really liked! Very peaceful and enjoyable afternoon!
This was really a enjoyable and informative workshop. We were told about essential oil groups, how they blend together, the best ways to use them, and how to create our scent story before starting our blends. Our tutor great, really upbeat and enthusiastic, and was happy to help with suggestions to help us achieve the scent combination we wanted. The materials were fantastic, and we all left with a beautiful diffuser bottle, reeds and an intention card. I would definitely recommend this.
The tips provided by Sonia were really insightful. She was very thorough and patient whilst teaching. She allowed everyone time to speak and ask questions. I felt like I took away alot of information from this diffuser workshop class. Creating my own bespoke scent to take away was the cherry on top. Great class if you want to understand how to create your own diffuser

Really nice class and we're very pleased with our perfumes. We learned a lot about the different essential oils and which ones go well together to create different kinds of scents. IT was relaxed and fun and we really enjoyed it.
We really enjoyed our Reed Diffuser making class with Eilidh; she was so friendly, professional and gave loads of expert support during our 90 mins at Yougi! She gently guided us through scent selection, using memory and happy place as a base, and there were so many options to play around with.
