Moonlight Bloom Candle
Specifications
Moonlight Bloom is jasmine after dark, heady and full, the scent a garden gives off only at night. Jasmine, Jasminum grandiflorum, which opens only after sunset, with sandalwood, vanilla and ylang ylang, and neroli, bergamot, damask rose, clove, lavender and palmarosa behind them. Ten oils in all. Emily made it in late summer, from a memory of a terrace in Zakynthos at midnight, the jasmine in full bloom and the sea somewhere below. Soy wax. Cotton wick. Hand-poured. Around 50 hours, 20 for the mini and 80 for the three-wick.
The head tips back.
Ten essential oils. Every one named.
Single-origin, sourced from the grower who knows them best. No carriers, no extenders, no synthetic fragrance.

Every candle is hand-poured in small batches at our London workshop. Emily blends every scent and makes each batch by hand. The candles are then poured, labelled and finished by hand.
How to burn Moonlight Bloom Candle.
A candle is only as good as the way it's burned. Four steps, the same for every Yougi vessel.
-
Trim the wick.
Before every burn, trim to a centimetre. A shorter wick prevents soot and smoke, and the flame runs clean.
-
Let the wax pool.
On the first burn, let the wax reach the edge of the vessel before you put it out. Two to four hours. This prevents tunnelling and protects your hours of burn.
-
Burn in sessions.
Two to four hours at a time. Let it rest between burns: the scent needs the pause.
-
Retire gracefully.
When the wax falls below a centimetre, stop burning. Send us the empty vessel and we'll refill it for thirty percent less than a new candle.
The blend, in its other forms.
The same scent where it is made, and the nearest to it where it is not.
