New Romantic Candle
Specifications
New Romantic is an intoxicating floral, heart-opening and full of promise. Damask rose, Rosa damascena, leads, with rose geranium and palmarosa at the heart and a base of sandalwood, lavender, cedarwood and chamomile. A candle for looking after yourself. Emily made it in early summer, from a memory of Jaipur, the pink city turning rose at dusk, the colour climbing the walls like a daydream. Soy wax. Cotton wick. Hand-poured. Around 50 hours, 20 for the mini and 80 for the three-wick.

How to burn New Romantic Candle.
A candle is only as good as the way it's burned. Four steps, the same for every Yougi vessel.
-
Trim the wick.
Before every burn, trim to a centimetre. A shorter wick prevents soot and smoke, and the flame runs clean.
-
Let the wax pool.
On the first burn, let the wax reach the edge of the vessel before you put it out. Two to four hours. This prevents tunnelling and protects your hours of burn.
-
Burn in sessions.
Two to four hours at a time. Let it rest between burns: the scent needs the pause.
-
Retire gracefully.
When the wax falls below a centimetre, stop burning. Send us the empty vessel and we'll refill it for thirty percent less than a new candle.
The blend, in its other forms.
The same scent where it is made, and the nearest to it where it is not.
