The blend

The New Romantic blend, neat. Damask rose, Rosa damascena, with rose geranium and palmarosa over sandalwood. An intoxicating floral, heart-opening. Emily made it from a memory of Jaipur, the pink city turning rose at dusk. For the oil burner or electric diffuser: a few drops, and the chest opens. 100% pure essential oils, nothing carried or cut. In 15ml, 30ml and 50ml, with a dropper. Blended in London.

Poured at Connaught Street. One batch at a time.

Every candle is hand-poured in small batches at our London workshop. Emily blends every scent and makes each batch by hand. The candles are then poured, labelled and finished by hand.

The ritual

How to use the oil.

A little goes a long way. A few drops is always enough.

  1. A few drops in water.

    Three or four drops into the water well of an oil burner or electric diffuser. The room takes it from there.

  2. Build, don't pour.

    If you want more, add a drop at a time. The blend opens as it warms.

  3. Not neat on the skin.

    These are undiluted essential oils: for the burner and the diffuser, not the skin. If you want to wear a blend, come to a perfume workshop.

  4. Keep the lid tight.

    Store cool and dark, away from sunlight, and the blend keeps its character.
